Recognized for sustainable, identity-rich, site-specific design at any scale, WRNS Studio brings to each new project a point of view informed by all the other work in which we engage. With offices in San Francisco, New York, and Honolulu, our staff of 130 works across typologies: education, workplace, recreation, civic, and urban mixed-use. Together, we are redefining what it means to be comfortable, healthy and inspired at school and work. We think a lot about public/private interface, and how it might be enriched. Problem solvers at heart, we tinker in models, garages, even under the hood of our design software. When we talk about sustainability, we consider the ways in which wellness and resource conservation support economic, social and environmental health. The culture at WRNS is strong and distinct. Our thriving scholarship program promotes inspiration and critical thinking in design and architecture; intended to spur critical discourse, the scholarships are shared with the rest of our studio and posted on our blog. “WRNS U,” an informal mentorship program and umbrella for different events, meetings and focus areas within the studio, complements our scholarship program.
